If the Firewire card comes with drivers, do NOT install them.
Firewire 400 cards are not expensive and they should only run you about 20 to 25. So for video capture, stick to the Firewire 400 cards.

Has ANYONE had any luck with capturing to a Thunderbolt 3 Mac. But my newer Thunderbolt 3 Mac does not work.
